"That’s it, lad, your life is worth a dime!"
just spent the last few hours “painting” this. more inspiration from the Life of Scrooge album, mainly the first track this time.
the little Scrooge holding his first dime is from the first chapter of Don Rosa’s The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck where Scrooge earns his first dime and with the help of the ghost of Sir Quackly McDuck, his ancestor, he discovers where to begin his journey.
of course, he see’s Quackly as one of the living but I wanted to draw what we would REALLY see him talking with, which are the shadows of his bones which is how Carl Barks first depicted him in "The Old Castle’s Secret" (1948)
